The kids were all busy on the weekend, so my husband and I went to the Buffalo Outer Harbor. I took pastels, and he took a book. Unfortunatly, It was totally grey! No sun, no sunset, it was grey, grey, grey everywhere. This red tug boat was the only bright color anywhere.
It was parked in front of some very grey grain elevators. I did not like how this turned out, it was too fussy. I was pretty tired from standing and trying to hold this 12 by 16 paper with one hand, while drawing with the other. But decided to try again,…. here is the second try, smaller size..9 by12 inches, much faster drawn, and looser style.
And this next boat is from Virginia… where the sun was shining….and no grey anywhere!
