My newest glass sculpture light in winter

Putting pieces of glass together is just so cool. It is like the glass just wants to be put together.    I don’t know how to describe it.  So here with few words are pictures of my newest creation.

My favorite picture…..  Really great shapes, Really wonderful color!

This sculpture just kind of grew by itself.  I found the really interesting, hand made metal washer bowl at a garage sale,  the pieces of glass I find anywhere, everywhere.  Then I played around with different paints, and marbled some of the glass. I generally put the glass on the bowl, then when I like the shape I start. But of course there are lots of adjustments as I go, because I can’t just pile the glass and it stays where I want by itself. I have to glue some on, then look at it for a while, to see if it looks complete, or needs something else.  Then I search through the boxes of glass.  Then I glue some more. Which takes forever!  Because I want it to stay tight.  Once started there is no going back!  Glass doesn’t bend so what is there is  there. Did you notice how the colors look different depending on how the sun is hitting it?
