No my prices are not going up. This is not to justify some price increase. Really. It is just that talking with fellow Artisans over the weekend at an Art show, pricing came up. How do you put a price on Art? Do you take into account market demand? Materials? Artist Skill? Time?
So many times someone comes along and says something like”oh, that is nothing. I could do that”. Well, maybe you could, but you didn’t! Not only could I, but I did !

My idea…. I saw this in my head. Before it was ever made it was in my mind figuring out how to make it. A one of a kind idea, no one, not even me, could make it again…… priceless
My skill….. developed from repeated experimenting and failures.
My time….. only mine, it is gone, I will never get this back. If I could have people pay me with time, instead of money, I would, because I would like some more. Beyond priceless.
My courage…. to believe that it is worth doing, that it would be great. Especially when family and friends are not as sure as I am.
