What do you think Art is?
I didn’t really think much about it until I was told my painted glass, wasn’t allowed in an art show as it was only for “fine Art”.
I was to consider this a “craft” not Art. Why? is it because it isn’t frame-able, ( but what about sculptures?) Or is it because I wasn’t putting a high enough price on it? ( I could charge more) Or something else?
I think so many things are art, a beautiful flower arrangement, quilts, Paintings, sculptures, gardens. We were at an art exhibit, where there was a slide show, of someone getting up everyday and saying something to the camera! Really! Art? I would have called that journalism. But some Art curator must have liked it enough to spend large amounts of money on it. It must be in the eye of the beholder.
I like Art that reminds me of beautiful things, or places. I like art that is colorful, and looks like it moves or draws you into the picture.
