“I love working with color, movement, and depth. If the painting looks still, I have failed.”
I am a self-taught artist working from a small art hallway in Western New York. I love so many different mediums that I have never managed to choose just one. (Do I have to?) Oil paint for its feel and versatility, pastels for the immediacy of their color, watercolor for the ease of traveling with it, and monoprint for the absolute joy of free-form creating.
My glass sculptures began as a defense against the wintertime gloom that comes from a lack of color. The colored glass catches the sunlight and throws it around the room. They just kind of develop on their own.
My Saviour and God, Jesus Christ, has given me this gift, and I try to use it for His honor and glory. God is the ultimate artist. He made every color and texture on this earth, and I praise Him that He did. He could have made everything black and white.
